Question 1

Does an eSIM work in Puerto Rico?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Connectify partners with major local carriers across Puerto Rico, giving you reliable 4G/5G coverage from the moment you land. Just install the QR code before you travel.

Question 2

How much does a Puerto Rico eSIM cost?

Accepted Answer

Prepaid eSIM plans for Puerto Rico start from A$3.84 on Connectify. Pricing depends on the amount of data and days of validity you choose.

Question 3

How much data do I need for a trip to Puerto Rico?

Accepted Answer

For light use (maps, messaging, occasional social media) 1–3 GB per week is plenty. Heavy users streaming video, uploading photos, or hotspotting should choose 5 GB+ or an unlimited plan.

Question 4

Can I use my Connectify Puerto Rico eSIM to make calls?

Accepted Answer

Connectify travel eSIMs are data-only plans. You can still make calls over Wi-Fi calling, WhatsApp, FaceTime, or Google Voice using the eSIM data.

Question 5

Do I need to change my phone settings when I arrive in Puerto Rico?

Accepted Answer

Only two settings: enable data roaming for the Connectify line, and set it as your default data line. That's it — no APN changes required for most phones.

Question 6

When should I install my Puerto Rico eSIM?

Accepted Answer

You can install it any time — even weeks before your trip. The plan only starts counting down validity once you enable it on the device. Install on Wi-Fi at home for the easiest setup.
